New User Sign Ups
Unfortunately I've had to change the new user sign up process. The spammers found us and the site has been hit with multiple spammers trying to post their junk.
So from here on out I will have to authorize all new user sign ups. I'll try to get to them as quickly as possible.

Yes, mollom is awesome. I run it on at least a dozen sites.

Are you using Mollom? I had to install it on all the Drupal sites I maintain, because of the same problem. It has worked beautifully for me. It requires new users to go through a CAPTCHA that can be used to protect the user registration form against spam generated fake user accounts. Invaluable.
