The Sheng Chi family

I'm the kind of person whole likes to write blogs....so this section could very well turn into one that I'll spend some time in...
For now I would simply like to say that I feel this sight is going to be good for the school and the students, not to mention the other martial artist that may eventualy find themselves here as the sight grows and developes over time. Seems to me that this sight will be good to draw the Sheng Chi/ Shou Shu family a little closer together.
I know alot of the faces, but until I took a look at the student list, I didn't realize how many names there were that I didn't recognize. :) But then I guess thats me....I've always been a bit bad at remembering names(no offense to anyone).
Over time, I hope to see alot of blogs...we can all learn alot about others an ourselves through the blogs that we write. Everyone has a story to tell and everyone has knowledge to offer. I'm looking forward to writeing and reading blogs.
As for myself...Sheng Chi Shou Shu has brought forward a part of myself that has been missing for years...
For the first time in nearly 20 years...I feel like I'm not faking it. Not telling myself that I'm immortal...but feeling it. Not saying things will get better...but knowing it. Not trying to be fearless...but becoming it. Not searching for who I am...but knowing myself.
By learning about ourselves...we grow stronger and more fearless. The more fearless we become...the less ego we retain. By rebuceing our ego...we find a better footing on a pathway to enlightenment. Have a good day and a pleseant tomarrow....:)

Wow!
You've taken what I'm sure alot of us in the Sheng Chi family feel and put it into very simple, yet elegant, terms. I can certainly identify with the feelings you've expressed in your blog, but I often find myself at a loss as to how to describe the sense of completeness this art has brought into my life. You have done that quite beautifully for us all. I look forward to seeing more blogs like this one. Brava!

I'm impressed
Wow Mr. Foster,
I'm impressed. For the year and a half I've known you I've heard you talk about being fearless. Hadn't thought much about it as I ASSumed it was the typical "No Fear" mentality expressed in todays pop culture. That stuff is pure ego. Machismo toughness actually based on fear.
However I've just realized that it is the eastern philosophy that you have been reffering to. A completely different thought pattern based upon extinguishing the ego. In that philosophy we rid ourselves of suffering by ridding ourselves of desire. Our fear is an indicator of how far we are along that path. Good job, I'm quite impressed with the refference.
