On the rare occasion Phil and I go out and meet new people, we get the dreaded question: What do you do? Phil has put the kabosh on answers like, knee breaker, assassin, vigilante...Oh, we're martial artists. Then here it comes, Do we know so & so the cage fighter? NO, Do we know their second cousin twice removed that studies Aikido? NO. Don't get me wrong, I know that the general public has no comprehension of Shou' Shu' and they are desperately trying to make polite conversation, but really, polite conversation would be to say... isn't that nice dear, and talk about the weather.
So anyway, last time we were out this old farmer guy askes me how manyy bricks can I break...I give the standard, gee I've never been attacked by a brick answer...then I talk about the weather.
It's time for a visit with the keeper of all knowledge, my dad. After explaining the situation my dad says: Next time someone asks if you can break a brick with your head, tell them none, but I could break plenty with yours.
