I came across it in a web comic: http://www.phdcomics.com/ It is about PhD students life, it's funny and describes things pretty accurately.
I got and accepted official offer on Thursday. I also got a new car last weekend. I know very cliche. Although I was planning on getting it and saving for it for a while. Commuting and getting around on motorcycle is fine for 99% of my needs, but for that last 1%....
I wouldn't call anything you've done quitting. You've made it to masters degree and done so pretty quickly.
Maybe you just need a little break and you'll be back at it.
Regardless everyone here ( and your mother) are proud of you.
Plus your Mom gave us the credit for raising you right. Hehehehe
So I get the kudos no matter what :-)
I used to love SoCal. Went to high school in Fallbrook. But last time I was there it was a mess.
Words of wisdom, sure.
1. Make friends with a few jarheads. they have access to the prime surfing beaches.
2. Don't party with them in TJ. If you get into trouble they get a free get out of jail card and you don't.
3. Blacks beach
Yes I went to High school in Fallbrook which is about 15-20 minutes from oceanside beach. Also lived in La Jolla and frequented the Carlsbad area a lot.

Funny, I had never heard "Piled Higher and Deeper" in the past but after you posted it I just caught it in a movie last night.

I dropped out of school (well technically I am taking leave of absence for next two quarters), and got a job.
Not a quiter

No joke about the marines having great access to some good waves.
Sounds like you used to surf Shun Shifu -- going back to SD soon to surf.
