Orange B 5 Defensive warrior, Three Kick Combination, Knife edge Drill
Section One
1. Warm up with snap kicks from wu chi (both sides)
2. Snap kick mat drill
3. Knife edge from neutral (both sides)
4. Knife edge from wu chi (both sides)
5. Knife edge rotation drill. Knife edge with right leg, rotate 90* on returning kick, knife edge again, rotate again while returning kick. Continue to do this thru several rotations until legs are shaky (do opposite side)
6. Teach three kick combination by numbers. Make sure to focus on returning to next position (not return then go to next position)
7. Do opposite side
Section Two- Defensive warrior
1. From Square horse teach rolling reverse punches.
2. Have students work rolling reverse punches on bags from square horse.
3. Have students work rolling reverse punches in air from wu chi
4. Have students work rolling reverse punches on bags from wu chi
5. Have students work rolling reverse punches in air from wu chi using a step correct.
6. Have students work rolling reverse punches on bags from wu chi using a step correct.
7. From square horse teach side fist to solar plexus focusing on developing power by turning hip
8. Work side fist from square horse on bags
9. From neutral teach side fist with right hand while stepping left emphasizing hip turn for power
10. Work side fist right stepping left on bags
11. From square horse teach focus chop
12. From square horse work focus chop on focus mitt
13. Teach focus chop from wu chi
14. Work focus chop on focus mitt from wu chi
15. From square horse teach heel palm to chin
16. From square horse work heel palm to chin on focus mitt
17. From neutral teach heel palm to chin
18. From neutral work heel palm to chin on focus mitt
19. Paint picture
20. Teach heel palm to chin grab neck
21. Have partners hold forearm up in front of students simulating neck. Have students do heel palm in air, lofting slightly and violently grabbing forearm and driving thru it.
22. Put rest of technique together by numbers
23. Repeat by numbers at least 10- 15 times
24. Pair up
25. Do by numbers again
26. Do Chi Kung speed
27. Do by numbers medium speed
