About ShifuMicheleRamirez
I am Shifu Michele. I began training in Shou Shu in 1985 at the Merced school headed by Shun Shifu Dennis Jones. I was lucky enough to be taught and influenced by so many, many excellent teachers and role models--Da Shifu Al Moore Senior and Da Shifu Clark chief among them. Furthermore, my fellow practioners, Shifu McDaniels, Shifu Hernandez, Shifu Bobby Way, and too many more to mention completely, were also terrific people and martial artists, and with them, I had a tremendous amount of fun and shared this magic thing called Shou Shu. I thank them.
I currently study at the Hayward school of Hei Long Shou Shu.

Hi Shifu Herron--sorry about the late reply. I'm still figuring out how to use this site, and only now saw your comment! My seven year old is way more tech savy than I am.
I think I must have met you while Shifus Hernandez and McDaniels were running the Merced school, and at the end of my active time at Moores'--graduate school sent me to the other side of the country in 1993. Are you training with SS Weaver? I'm loving the whole concept of the ISSA--it's been a little sad to see what has happened to Da Shifu's art since his passing.
