Instructor’s note- Discuss the importance of knowing when it is appropriate to use an offensive technique (Preemptive attack) The following three conditions must be met (We are not lawyers and cannot give legal advice, this is our opinion only)
5.    Opponent in some way implies he is going to try to cause you bodily harm (says it, aggressive body language, etc)
6.    You believe he is telling the truth ( I.e. He’s not walking away saying “I’m gonna get you”)
7.    You believe he has the capacity to do bodily harm

It’s also important to teach proper fighting distance at this point. Teach students to attempt to maintain distance from opponent. Teach them where their comfort zone is.

Warm Up
 
1.    Snap Kicks from fighting stance
2.    Teach Knife edge
3.    Use wall drill to help students with knife edge
4.    Knife edge mat drill
5.    Knife edge rotation drill

Part One – Lunging Bear

1.    Teach Ram’s head Punch from square horse
2.    Work Bags
3.    Teach Ram’s head punch to side fist from square horse
4.    Work bags
5.    Teach ram’s head punch, side fist, ram’s head punch from square horse
6.    Do in air for speed. See how fast the students can do it.
7.    Teach Ram’s head punch to hard bow from neutral
8.    Work Bags
9.    Teach Ram’s head punch to side fist to hard bow
10.    Work Bags
11.    Teach Ram’s head punch to side fist to ram’s head punch to hard bow
12.    Work bags
13.     Teach snap kick from neutral
14.     Work bags
15.     Teach Lunging Bear
16.     Do on bag
